vintage style 1930s 1940s ladies herringbone tweed trousers
ITEM DESCRIPTION
1930s style mens suit trousers for women. These trousers are adapted from a 1930s mens pattern with wide fit, pleated front, very high waisted, fishtail back and buckle back. After many requests I have finally got around to make my signature mens trousers for ladies. The only thing that I changed is the basic hip to waist ratio and the length, everything else is exactly the same. The trousers are made of a warm and soft wool-viscose blend (55% wool) in a gorgeous herringbone tweed of a warm burgundy brown with a very subtle gold hue . The trousers have generous pockets in the side seam exactly like the men's version, and two welted back pockets. Over all the trousers are very nicely finished. They close with a zipper and hook and eye

SIZING INFO:
The sizes are EU standard sizes and in between French and German sizing. The picture also gives UK sizes.
Find your body measurements in the chart and order the size closest to your measurements. The waist size is leading, since the trousers are pleated and give enough room for wider hips, or give shape to somebody with less hips. The lengths should be adjusted to your desired length. Best ask somebody to help pinning them for you while wearing them. There is plenty of fabric in the turn ups for lengthening them. To be sure please measure. When measuring the waist, make sure you measure high enough, just below the ribs is the right place. Take a tape measure or cord and pull it tight enough that it is comfortable. Or use a belt that you fasten to the right size and measure that to find the right size. Instructions on how to measure can be found here:

MATERIAL AND CARE:
55% Wool / 34 % Viscose / 11% Polyester with 100% cotton poplin pockets
Wash as little as possible, best is dry clean or steamer. Wool is dirt repellent by nature so you don't have to wash it regularly. Brush off any stains and leave outside for fresh air. When they are really dirty leave them in cold water for a gentle soak with a wool detergent. Rinse and tumble.Pull back into shape before leaving flat to dry.
