1910s cycling breeches for women in checkered red wool tweed
These wool tweed knickerbockers were made after an original 1910 pattern for mens cycling breeches I found in an old book about historical clothing. The pattern was adjusted to fit a female body. We kept all the original features. The fabric is a stunning 100% wool tweed with a very nice soft feel. The checkered pattern with blue an yellow makes it easy to match with different colours. The lining is a beautiful cotton poplin with Art Deco print. A matching waistcoat will also be available, probably beginning 2023

SIZING INFO
The sizes are EU standard, that means they are in between French and German sizing.
Look at the waist measurments in the size chart (last picture) and take the size closest to your natural waist measurement.
Ignore the outside leg because that is for standard trousers. The knee bands can be made to fit easily by moving the buttons.
MATERIAL AND CARE:
100% wool, with 100% cotton poplin pockets. Dry clean only. Wool is dirt repellent by nature. Remove stains gently with a cloth and a mild detergent. Hang it in the fresh air every once in a while. Every now and then bring it to the dry cleaners or carefully give it a soak in cold water with a wool detergent. Give it a short spin to tumble them and leave to dry. Be sure to pull it into shape before drying. Do not bleach, do not put in the dryer. Do not wash in warm water.
